Which looks better? I'm completly torn. I wonder if there's a way I could rig the hat to be detatchable so he could hold it some days and wear it other days. Any thoughts?
Woweeeee. Your moon guy is awesome, and so huge. I think the hat should be detachable so it's worn or not sometimes. It's always nice to have choices!
I haven't played with Flikr yet, thanks for asking, but you betcha after this wedding is over I'm hittin' everything hard......it's time to promote me.....yea me! LOL

Like them both Lance. Use a dowel that can be removed in his head to hold the hat on when you want it on and then take the dowel out of the hat and head for the days when you want him to hold it. Sort of a modified mortise and tenon joint. I think it would work... Laurie
I've just found your blog and I'm loving your artwork and will be adding a link to you from my blog. But as for this, in my humble opinion, I like his hat in his hand, especially if he is to stay indoors, it shows his good manners, LOL. Most awesome piece, can't wait to see him finished.
